Chinese Chicken Manchow Soup
from: Uncle\'s KitchenChinese Chicken Manchow Soup
Ingredients
- 100 gms chicken
- 2-3 mushrooms
- 1/4 cabbage
- 2 bamboo shoots, sliced
- 1 medium carrot, sliced
- 1-2 french beans
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- A pinch of white pepper powder
- A pinch of ajinomoto
- Salt to taste
- 4-5 cups chicken stock
- 1 tsp vinegar
Preparation Method
1. Wash and finely chop cabbage, carrot and french beans. Cut mushrooms and bamboo shoots in strips.
2. Blend cornstarch in half cup of water and keep aside. Boil and cut chicken into small cubes.
3.
Mix soy sauce, pepper powder, ajinomoto and salt. Stir in chicken stock
and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for two to three minutes.
4. Stir in blended cornstarch and cook for two minutes or until the soup thickens. Stir continously.
5. Stir in vinegar, chicken cubes.
6. Serve hot, garnished with crispy fried noodles.
