Chinese Almond Cookies
from: Caixia Bu
- 2 ¾ c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. butter
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- ¼ c. slivered almonds
- 2 egg yolks beaten with 4 teaspoons of water for glaze
