Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp wholewheat flour (gehun)
  • 3 tbsp jowar flour
  • 3 tbsp bajra flour
  • 3 tbsp nachni flour
  • 2 tbsp Bengal gram (besan) flour
  • 3 tbsp maize (makai) flour
  • 2 tbsp rice (chawal) flour
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • 1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup bottlegourd (doodhi/louki), grated
  • 1/2 cup carrots, grated
  • 1 tbsp coriander, chopped
  • 4 tbsp low-fat curd
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method

1. Combine all the ingredients and knead into a soft dough using water if required.
2. Divide the dough into 10 equal portions
3. Roll each portion into a circle using flour to roll the parathas.
4. Cook each paratha on a tava till both sides are golden brown in colour.
5. Serve hot, with raita.
The paratha is rich in carbohydrates and very easy to digest because it contains jowar and bajra, both rich in fibres.
