Healthy diet ideas for Summer

In Summer along with moderate exercise, proper nutrition is also
essential to maintain a good fitness level. A balanced diet can be maintained
for a longer time as it does not restrict you of any food, but focuses on
incorporating all the ingredients required to give complete nutrition to the
body. Here are a few tips



  • Home made food with less oil is always a good
    choice


  • At least one fruit per day is recommended


  • Rice can be had in moderation


  • Do not stop eating ghee as it has lot of medicinal
    properties. You can have it but in moderation


  • One leafy vegetable at least 5 times a week is
    recommended



  • Vegetarians need to make sure they have good
    sources of proteins by including dal, sprouts and soy regularly in their diet


  • Include salads, buttermilk and curd in your diet
    everyday



  • Drink milk regularly


  • Reduce the intake of papad, pickle, sweets, bread,
    bakery products, fried, junk food and alcohol to the minimum.
