Shakshouka - an Israeli recipe
from: sanjeev kapoorIngredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 onions chopped
- 2 red/green bell peppers chopped
- 3 tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tbsp garlic chopped
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 6 eggs

Method
Heat oil and fry the onions till golden brown.
Add bell peppers and continue to saute. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and garlic.
Taste and add curry powder and half a glass of water.
Stir for 2 to 3 minutes till it turns into a thick sauce.
Break eggs on top and cover the dish with a lid.
Serve the eggs either soft or hard, surrounded by the sauce.
