3-6 years
Breakfast
High fibre cereal (like dalia, upma or oat porridge — but avoid sugar coated cereal) + 200 ml whole milk (preferably no additional sugar although a very light sprinkling would be acceptable). 200 gms fresh fruit chopped in cubes.
Mid-morning

1-2 whole-wheat biscuits (e.g. digestive), 1 cup fruit juice
Lunch
2 slices wholemeal bread/ 2 tbsp rice / 1-1/2 phulkas + ghee + thin dal / chicken gravy with 50 gms chicken/fish, chopped carrot and cucumber in a bowl. Drink water.
Mid-afternoon
1 dosa/ idli/ pancake/toast with peanut butter, Item fruit chopped up in a bowl and 200 ml full cream milk
Dinner
Typical family meal e.g.: 40-50g chicken breast / lean meat / white fish, 2 tbsp cooked basmati rice or 40g cooked pasta or small potato (mashed/boiled/jacket)
Night
Milk with ½ tsp haldi for immunity.
