Setup home made Chinese steamboat, hot pot cooking food recipes

from: Kulkarni

Tired of playing the host? A good solution to the ennui of hosting a dinner and scurrying between the kitchen and the living room is the 'steamboat'. Chinese hot pot more commonly called as Chinese steamboat or steam boat or chines founde. Steamboats or Chinese hot pots have been around for more than 1,000 years. One account, which attributes its origin to Mongolia, will have us believe that Mongol warriors used their helmets to cook. But there is no historical data to support this theory. There is some disagreement over whether northern China was its birthplace or the Sichuan province in the south-central part of the country.

The vessel allows you to transform your dining table into a cooking terminal. As a result you can simmer a broth live while making a delightful recipe in which your guests are the cooks as well. This steam boat generally consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock places at the center of the dining table on any heat simmer or electric heating system.  In this method cooking of recipes by adding ingredients as well as simmering will happen simultaneously and then transfers to the pots placed in the same dining table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leafy vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood.

Even though the steamboat is an Asian form of interactive cooking, with variations from Korea to Japan to China, the vessel itself is available now all over world  including in Eastern country cities London. And with ingredients easily available in the local markets, you are quite ready to take on this exotic concept for a unique dining experience.
