Indo American Recipes : Chocolate snack bar with foamed honey milk

from: Mehta

These
bars are great energy boosters and can be stored for several days, making them
a great treat to slip into lunches for people on the go.

Ingredients:

Chocolate bar: 1 cup chopped dark chocolate (about 9 ounces)

3 cups puffed rice

1/3
cup light raisins

1/3
cup dried cranberries

1/3
cup currants

1/3 cup crushed walnuts and cashews or mixed nuts

Honey milk: 1
litre milk, 1/2 cup honey

Method: Melt the chocolate
in a small bowl in the microwave. To ensure it does not burn, check and stir
every 15 seconds until it is a smooth, warm liquid.

Line
a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, stir together the melted
chocolate and puffed rice. Spread on the baking sheet until it is about
half-an-inch thick.

Using another baking tray of the same size, gently press down on the mixture to
flatten it. Remove the top baking tray and sprinkle the fruits and nuts. Freeze
for about five minutes or until the chocolate hardens.

Remove the pan from the freezer and using a pizza cutter, cut into six
individual bars of equal size. Freeze them in an airtight bag until they are
ready to be eaten.

In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and the honey. Place over a high flame
and whisk continuously to make it frothy. If you have a steamer, steam the milk
with the honey. Pour into six tall glasses and serve with a chocolate bar.
