Purawapu Dello Srilankan Recipe
from: LalithSeafood features prolifically in Lankan cuisine and it is usually strongly
flavoured. Ambulthiyal (a sour and spicy fish dish), is a particular favourite
which gets it’s sharpness from the generous use of tamarind.
Purawapu dello (stuffed squids) makes for an interesting and differently-styled
dish and makes liberal use of curry leaves.
Ingredients
► 20
squids
► 300 gms onions (julienned)
► 100 gms tomatoes (chopped)
► 25 gm
green chillies
► 15 gm chillies
► 5 gm cinnamon sticks
► 5 gm salt
► 3 gm
cardamom
► 10 gm pepper
► 15 ml coconut oil.

Preparation
Make a stuffing of sautéed onions, tomatoes,
red chillies, salt, pepper and green chillies. Stuff it into the squid tubes. On
a hot pan, cook stuffed squids on a low flame till golden. Serve hot.
