Bread Recipes Bread Fritters South Indian

Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 slices of bread
  • 1/2 tbsp ginger-chilly paste
  • 1 sprig curry leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Chilly powder (if needed)
  • 1 tbsp gram flour
  • 1 tsp rice flour or cornflour (optional)
  • Ajwain seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
Method of Preparing South Indian Bread Fritters
  1. Soak the bread in a cup of water for a minute.
  2. Then pick the bread, squeeze the water out completely and put it in a dry bowl.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix properly without adding any water. If the dough is too dry and crumbles, you can add a little hot oil to bind it.
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai. Drop spoonfuls of the dough in the oil and deep fry the fritters till they are golden brown.
  5. Serve hot, with chutney or sauce.
