Tips to make diet foods & meals that taste great, good and healthy
from: NaviUse these little tips to make your virtuous healthy food taste better, Think “healthy” food is boring? Think again — you can make low-calorie options much more interesting with these little tricks.
From bland to spice

Sprinkle mirchi powder over baked potato wedges, few chilli flakes over broccoli, or cinnamon over baked apples. Spice is a great way to add interest to low-fat food without oils or fats.
Cheesy sprinkle
At only around 40 calories per grated tablespoon, a sprinkle of Parmesan is a great way to enliven a salad or make asparagus or green beans taste great. A dash of cheese sauce made with low fat milk makes par-boiled vegetables taste yummy.
Marinate your meat
Marinades help make drier, leaner cuts of meat and poultry much tastier and they don’t add calories like a rich sauce can. Use any combination of lemon or vinegar, herbs and olive oil, and marinate meats for a couple of hours before grilling them.
Add olives

Olives add a real flare to salads and plain pasta dishes, and their big flavour and oily texture means you can get by with using less dressing or sauce, or by having a lower-fat one.
Fish for compliments

Grilled fish tastes so much more interesting with a lively topping – try salsa, lime zest and coriander or soy sauce and grated ginger. They’re all terrifically tasty and keep fish fine for your waistline.
Perk up your porridge

Turn healthy, porridge into luxury by adding a delicious topping. Try stirring in banana and cinnamon with a drizzle of honey, spiced stewed plums or berries and yoghurt.
